Hormone imbalances come in all shapes and sizes, but healthy nutrition can help! Our body undergoes hormone shifts during times of stress, lack of sleep, aging, and menopause, just to name a few. The proper nutrition can help balance your hormones to prevent unwanted weight gain that is commonly associated with such circumstances. Our team can help you balance your hormone levels, increase your energy levels, and manage your weight.
Abnormal cortisol and sex hormone levels can be a common culprit of weight gain, irritability, insomnia, and food cravings. Cortisol, a hormone in the body that is involved in the sleep/wake cycle and “fight or flight” stress mechanism, can become altered with lack of sleep and a high stress lifestyle. Sex hormones can change during pregnancy, menopause, aging, and in individuals with PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome). Learn how to address your individual hormone imbalances and what nutritional changes can benefit your unique circumstance.
