My sister is getting married! April 2014 I will be out on the beach in Florida celebrating her exciting day and I cannot wait! In the meantime, there are plenty of parties to be had – including an engagement party. Earlier this month, Will and I traveled back home to Omaha, Nebraska for this wonderful celebration at one of Omaha’s most amazing restaurants, The French Bulldog in the heart of Dundee!
Congratulations to Alina and Byron!
Owner Anne (on the far right) has done such an amazing job bringing this new restaurant to life. The rustic feel and one-of-a-kind charcuterie make this one of my favorite stops whenever I am back in Omaha.
There was plenty of “beachy” decor to get everyone excited about the upcoming destination wedding!
The blushing bride in blue! And the men enjoying drinks at the bar.
The bride with some of her beautiful bridesmaids!
The tiny restaurant was bustling on this Sunday afternoon.
I love the decor of this place!
There was plenty of food – roasted root veggies, salad, quiches, sandwiches, cheeses and delicious cured meats!
Not to mention Goose Island Sophie on tap – can’t beat it!
Cheers to the bride and groom!
Desserts included a yummy assortment of brownies and lemon bars.
We had such an amazing time at Alina and Byron’s engagement party and were sad to say goodbye to our friends and family in Omaha. We will certainly be back to for the holidays!
Today was a whirlwind of wedding planning and dress shopping. With all of the wedding planning going on, I wanted to share some of my favorite engagement photos! First stop upon their arrival, The Gage! We sat out on the patio and had a few drinks to start. My sister is getting married in April so we had all sorts of wedding planning to discuss!
We ordered the infamous Scotch Egg and Cherries...
