We FINALLY got some snow! Only a light dusting – about an inch, but I’ll take it! The day after we moved in to our new place on State street, the city started tearing up our street for some major project, possibly on the L system below? I’m not even really sure. But whatever the problem was, it was major. And crews have been working on it for the past 4 months. Which means we get to wake to the beeping of backing up cement trucks, the drilling of jackhammers, and the banging of construction equipment every day…yippee. I’m hoping the project will be done soon, but only time will tell.
In the meantime, I’ve developed a second wind for decorating our “new” place, specifically focused on decor for our living room! We have a large wall space above the sofa by the windows and we have been mulling over ideas of what to put there. We finally placed an order online for something we thought would be perfect, and I have been anxiously awaiting it’s arrival all week! Well, yesterday, it came! What is it? It’s an Urbio urban vertical garden!
We are planning to install it this weekend and I. can. not. wait! We have so much light that comes into our living room from out west-facing windows that it will be the perfect place for plants. The Urbio system is a series of panels hung on the wall with magnetic pots of different shapes and sizes that can be moved around to create a one-of-a-kind look. We came across the idea watching a late night interior design show, but apparently the product was also on Sharktank. It looks like a headache to install, but I’ll be sure to document it all with photos!
