Yesterday, in the spirit of Halloween, I ran the Monster Dash 5K! This was actually only the second year that this costume-friendly took place in Chicago. It was so much fun running while enjoying all of the great costumes that there is no way I won’t run this race again next year!
I wore my Viking hat from the Warrior Dash – a 5K with obstacles that I ran back in September.
The weather was perfect for the race, brisk and festive.
Soon the city will be covered in snow and the lake covered in ice…sigh.
Until then, I will continue enjoying the beautiful fall weather!

My First Green Monster!
00After jealously drooling over everyone’s Green Monster smoothies I finally had the guts to make my own! I stuck with the very basics: fresh spinach, a frozen banana, and vanilla soymilk. I loaded it all into my Magic Bullet and voila! Suprising REALLY tasty! It made for the perfect dessert to some leftover pasta for dinner. Now that I was finally brave enough to try it, I can’t wait...
