Why have there not been any blog posts for a while?
Here is what has been in the news this past month:
1. I passed the RD exam! (I’m now officially a Registered Dietitian!)
2. Will and I had an engagement party and engagement pictures taken in Omaha, NE (pictures soon to come!)
3. I moved into a new “fixer-upper” apartment in Old Town (before and after pictures will be posted)
4. I ran another half marathon (my third one yet!)
Starting with the half marathon – Sunday I completed my third half marathon! If you remember, I ran the Chicago Rock n’ Roll Half Marathon last year. Last year it took me 2 hours and 36 minutes. Then I ran the New Orleans Mardis Gras Half Marathon in February in 2 hours and 17 minutes. On Sunday’s race, I finished in 2 hours and 16 minutes, a personal best!

A client of mine was kind enough to give me her race bib when she realized she could no longer run the race due to a knee injury. I gladly accepted the offer and had an absolute blast running for her Sunday morning!

The weather was overcast, nice and cool – actually perfect for running. However it did rain a bit here and there throughout the race leaving spectators cold and wet.
I am running the Chicago Half Marathon in September and hope to get a time even closer to 2 hours, if not under!
Stay tuned for engagement pictures, new apartment before and after shots, and a couple new recipes I have made since the move!
