25 Days to a Healthier Holiday continues with snacks for shopping! It’s important to keep yourself full during those long hours of holiday shopping this season. Shopping on an empty stomach can lead to poor food choices or overindulging on calories later. Stash some emergency snacks in your purse of in your car to tide you over while you make your way through holiday shopping crowds and traffic jams. Here are a few snack ideas that will keep you satisfied!
Kind Bars – These all-natural whole nut and fruit bars are made from simple ingredients and loaded with nutrient-rich dried fruit and nuts. I especially love the Pomegranate Blueberry Pistachio and Dark Chocolate Cherry Cashew flavors!
Mary’s Gone Crackers – These crunchy and flavorful crackers are made with a unique blend of brown rice, quinoa, flax seeds, and sesame seeds. Choose from original, caraway, herb, black pepper, or onion flavors!
Naked Juice – These 100% fruit juices and smoothies are a great way to boost your energy. With no sugar added and no preservatives, these juices provide countless vitamins and minerals to keep you moving! My favorites, Green Machine and Berry Veggie Machine, blends both fruit and vegetables juices to make a delicious refreshing snack!
Justin’s Nut Butter – Justin’s makes travel sized nut butter packs that are great for on-the-go! With flavors like Chocolate Hazelnut, Honey Peanut, and Maple Almond these nut butters will kick any craving and satisfy your hungry stomach. I like to stash a pack of nut butter with a banana or crackers in my purse to make a quick easy snack while I’m out and about!
Trader Joe’s Trek Mix – Trader Joe’s has a great variety of trail mixes. My favorite, the Cashew Macadamia Delight, includes a delicious blend of cranberries, almonds, cashews, pineapple, and macadamia nuts.
Larabars – Larabar is a simple blend of fruit, nuts, and spices made from 100% whole food. These small snack bars will give you the energy you need to shop until you drop. Ginger Snap and Cinnamon Roll are two of my favorite festive flavors!
All of these snacks are gluten-free and vegan so they easily fit into anyone’s diet. Items can be found at Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, or in the natural food section of your local grocery store!
