Kuipers Family Farm

Yesterday I went to Kuipers Family Farm in Maple Park, IL to go apple picking! In case you forgot, here is a look at last year’s trip to the orchard.

This year, the orchard was busier then it had ever been and we had to wait in line for a bit before accessing the orchard. But it was well worth it! I came home with an abundant variety of 27 apples! Not to mention the half quart of apple cider, mulling spices, apple cider coffee, buttercup squash, and delicata squash too! The trunk of my car was filled with fall goodies by the time I left the farm. 🙂

I picked some Jonamac, Empire, Jonagold, Ida Red, Golden Delicious, Granny Smith and many more! I don’t know what I am going to do with all of these apples yet; maybe an apple crisp or pie? Any suggestions or good recipes out there?
