“You should start a blog!”
The idea of blogging was completely foreign to me a year ago when I decided to challenge myself to start a blog to share my passion for nutrition and healthy living with the world. To me, blogging was something that technology-gifted people did as a way to document their life online. But I wanted to do something different; I wanted to start a blog to give people new ideas about how to pursue a healthy lifestyle. As an aspiring dietitian finishing up graduate school, I wanted to post healthy recipes, fitness tips, product reviews, nutritional information and more! In April 2009, Eat Chic was born was the rest is history!
Among my busy life in the chic city of Chicago, I am a full-time intern working 9-5 by day, a student working on my Masters by night, a part-time employee at a university on the weekends, and a blogger in between! If I can find the time to eat healthy, anyone can. And this is what I set out to prove with my blog, Eat Chic.
Eat Chic offers information on current nutrition-related topics and events, healthy recipes, and educational information on everything from taking vitamin and mineral supplements to planting a kitchen herb garden. Not only have I had the opportunity to share my own knowledge with readers, but I have gained more than I could have ever imagined from the blogging community; I’ve been inspired to try new foods, attempt creative recipes, and even complete my first half marathon!
Eat Chic is truly a reflection of my journey and dream to become a registered dietitian and I will continue to eat, cook, and blog my way through life until I get there!
