Orange is a popular contemporary brunch restaurant with numerous locations around the Chicago area. Before leaving Chicago for winter break I wanted to try it out and went to the new location that just opened up in River North!
I had the French Toast Kabob which was a coconut-infused French toast skewered with fresh strawberries and pineapples, topped with honey and served with coconut-mango salad on the side. It was delish! And the presentation was so pretty!
Will had the special which was Apple Cinnamon Walnut Pancakes. They were also quite good!
At Orange they have a create-your-own freshly squeezed juice menu that you can fill out and hand to your server. I had orange-pineapple and Will had orange-pineapple-strawberry juice. Both were tasty!
Overall I had a great time at Orange. The atmosphere was nice with its contemporary decor and busy Saturday morning crowd. However, I do have to say that while it was a close runner up, it did not beat my favorite Chicago breakfast restaurants Yolk and The Bongo Room which I believe are the BEST brunch places in town!
